Paul grew up in Buffalo, New York where he studied classical and popular music with several private teachers.  He began performing professionally at age 16. He received a BA in psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  Besides performing and teaching piano, he also taught high school mathematics full time for 10 years.

     In 1979, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his musical career.  Since then he has performed at many hotels and restaurants, countless private parties and functions, as a solo pianist on Sitmar Cruises for 5 years, as the lounge pianist at the Century Plaza Hotel for 5 years, and currently, at the LAX Renaissance Hotel for the last 4 years.  Besides playing solo, he also currently plays with several orchestras.
